Abstract

Consists of 5 chapters, page 98, Figure 7, Table 8
Background and Purpose of Writing: Bell's Plasy is peripheral type VII (N. Facialis) paralysis that appears acutely without any other neurological disorder or disease and is an idiopathic disease (the cause is unknown). Based on these circumstances, Electrical Stimulation and Massage modalities are used to improve muscle weakness and increase facial functional abilities in Bell's palsy conditions. Case handling method: Implemented by collecting Physiotherapy management data starting from assessment, examination, implementation of Physiotherapy and ending with evaluation. Examination and measurement of muscle strength using Manual Muscle Testing, measurement of facial functional ability using the Ugo Fich scale. Therapy Performed 5 times accompanied by evaluation.
Discussion: After 5 times therapy using Electrical Stimulation and Massage modalities, the patient's facial muscle strength and functional ability increased.
Conclusions and suggestions: The results obtained indicate that the provision of Electrical Stimulation and Massage modalities can increase muscle strength as measured by Manual Muscle Testing and increase facial functional abilities as measured by the Ugo Fisch scale.
In addition, patients are given education to do exercises and avoid the causes of Bell's Palsy.
