Abstract
Mental health is a condition of a person's development physically, intellectually, and emotionally that is optimal and in harmony with others. Early detection of mental health is done to avoid and overcome disorders that can occur in adolescent growth and development. The purpose of the study was to determine the description of mental health in adolescents in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Jeruklegi II. The study was conducted using a descriptive design with a sample size of 96 adolescents. Sampling using systematic sampling. The research instrument used the SDQ (Strenghts and Difficulties Questionnaire) questionnaire. Adolescents in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Jeruklegi II experienced hyperactivity problems (94.8%) and peer relationships (86.5%). While the mental health status that shows the normal category based on Emotional (66.7%), based on Behavior (51.0%), and based on prosocial strength (86.5%). In general, the mental health status of adolescents in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Jeruklegi II is normal (58.3%). It is recommended that health workers can improve programs or counseling to adolescents so as to achieve mental health in adolescents in accordance with adolescent growth and development.
